I an sorry Dave, I cannot do this....You are in error.... I cannot open the baydoors...What are you doin.....

Figured it out.
Neither.
Jedi's abhor violence, and only use it as a last resort.
Hobbits are the same. Peaceful folk.
Both would agree not to fight, head to the local Pub, and get tanked.
Ta-da!![]()
Vader and Palpatine were jedi as well, and they had NO problem with using violence to achieve their goals, or for their own enjoyment. Vader prolly wouldn't even draw his lightsaber, he'd just reach out with the force, crush the life out of the little hobbit, and head to the pub by himself.
From your link, Dain. Kinda like saying there's a difference between catholics and Baptists- one are not Christians ? Darth Plagueis taught Darth Sidious (Palpatine) who taught Vader, so I maintain Palpatine was indeed a dark jedi (sith). The current incarnation of the Sith is the result of a rogue Jedi dissident from the order. Two thousand years ago, this Jedi had come to the understanding that the true power of the Force lay not through contemplation and passivity.
Sidious was apprentice to Darth Plagueis, a wise Sith Lord whose knowledge of arcane and unnatural arts was reputed to extend to manipulating the very essence of life. By Sith tradition, Sidious killed Plagueis in his ascent to Master from apprentice. This left an opening for the fearsome Darth Maul to become Sidious' Sith apprentice

Nah, he was probably a Mac... :icon_twi:![]()
Oh, look what you did, now you made me go all geeky! LOL.
Sorry, but technically they were Sith, not Jedi.
I know, Sith originally started from a "Dark Jedi", but I think after a few thousand years they can be considered separate "Faiths", especially since they have completely opposing views on the "Force".

BTW, Palpatine was never a Jedi at any time in his life.
He had always been trained as a Sith, by his master Darth Plagueis.
Thus his true title/name is actually "Darth Sidious", and of course he became a master after he off'd his master.
Vader was a just convert. LOL.
More useless information than you wanted to know...
So I defend my original statement.
(All done in fun)
I think the underlying question is,
Can a Star Wars nerd beat up a Lord of the Rings nerd?
or:
Who's more nerdy?
Let the games begin!!:ernae:
Never underestimate the power of the Dark Side...
Want proof? Look at the leaders of this world's nations and at the captains of industry.
*now where did I put my lightsabre?*
Take care y'all!
