Long-Time Enthusiast
Last year, I accepted the challenge to come up with a unique Livery design for a Lancair Legacy, that was being constructed in Colorado. The theory was to use FSX as a medium, and the brilliant RealAir Simulations Legacy as a platform.

The owner/builders goal: Win Oshkosh!

Now that's it been released to the public, I can finally showcase the simulated version! It took us several painstaking months, and multiple livery design ideas and combinations to come up with the end result!

Congratulations to Owner Valin Thorn, 2016 Oshkosh Gold and Design Innovation, Grand Champion Kit Built aircraft!

Attached image of the Legacy at OSH last week. And also the livery we arrived at via simulator, prior to any real paint ever being applied!

That's a fantastic looking paint, Joe! No wonder it won an award at OshKosh.

The obvious question...will it be released for us to download?

Yeah, I love that paint scheme. When may we download it? ;)

BTW, congratulations and well done with the design and the win.

Thanks fellas.

I'm sure the owner will release rights to let us all enjoy this bird within the simulator. Probably pending his arrival back in Colorado. He mentioned thunderstorms yesterday, en-route, on their way home from Oshkosh.

Another photo from their display at Oshkosh. Notice the simulated version on their display plaque!
