Stewart-Haas switching to Fords in 2017

***UPDATE ON THOUGHTS***

I wonder if Haas F1 is thinking about bringing Ford back to Formula One.....

Wow! - That's a LOT of engines to produce in 40 weeks! :pop4:

That being said, I still think the switch has something to do with Ford returning to F1....

i think this will be cool to see happen...more drivers driving more roush yates engines is that much more RnD under real racing situations.bring ford back to the front of the pack...and isnt Mark Martin doing something behind the scenes at Stewart Haas ?.....btw...does the Haas fella have anything to do with the haas avocados?...

Based on the press release from Ford late last year when they announced their complete withdrawal from Motor Racing in Australia and 'several other regions' I doubt they would opt for Formula 1.
The original Cosworth DFV was an outstanding success, the V6 Turbo run by Beatrice and Benetton was a short lived failure, while their atmo V8 did reasonably well in the early years of the 3.5 formula, the following V10 built for the Stewart team was really ordinary, more so when Ford bought Stewart out and re-badged the team as Jaguar.
Ford sold 'Jaguar' to the team we know today as Red Bull.
Just my own opinion, but I think Ford lack the finances and expertise to commit to the current Formula 1, the power train technology alone is way out of their league.
Better off sticking with NASCAR and BTCC/ETCC tin tops.

Very well written and it could contain a grain or two of truth, but I noted the remark about 'not within this engine Formula', or words to that effect.
It smacks of the constant Audi-VW Formula 1 rumors which have been slammed by the CEO a few days ago.
But I always believe in 'never say never', even if the last decent 'Ford' F1 engine was the DFV.
