Stock Pearl D3A1 repaint uploaded: "AII-256"/Houkoku 522!
A good day to everybody!
I just uploaded a demirrored repaint, originally by Revev, of stock D3A1 Val "AII-256" Houkoku (patriotism gift) 522, carrier Kaga, flown by NAP 1c Yamakawa Shinsaku, with rear gunner NAP 1c Nakada Katsuzo during the Pearl Harbour attack. The Japanese characters painted on the port side of the aircraft are the "Houkoku" (patriotism), the no. 522nd aircraft gifted to the IJN by means of civilian's donations, expecially schoolgirls. I copied and adapted it straight from Sandydog's high quality repaint for its extreme clarity and detail.
Released in the "PHP2-Vals.zip" pack as D3A1_VAL_KAGA by SOH's member Talon, to be used with TheB24 Guy's stock AI overhaul Aichi Val.
This is the last Val skin listed in "PHP2-Vals.zip". The upload includes Sandydog's readme of the same repaint he did for Akemi Mizoguchi's Val with very interesting historical notes about this aircraft, which took part to later early Pacific war actions, including Midway.
