Decided to get in touch with Avangate and retrieve a tracking number for my anxiously awaited DVD. Fabulous service. Got a fast reply....very polite, very efficient. Enter the tracking number in the USPS tracking service and the info reads something like "USPS were notified electronically on January 15th by the shipper to expect the parcel to arrive at our facilities".......and that's it. Looks like it never arrived there. No further record of it.

Some *%#@stard in a postie uniform has flown off in my Tripe!!:help:

Have a request in with Avangate for them to investigate. Hopefully they'll figure out what happened and help me out here.

Cheers,

Parky

I wouldn't call out the bloodhounds just yet. The USPS tracking is nowhere near as reliable as FedEx or UPS. I've never seen a USPS update on anything other than their overnight Express Mail and it's not uncommon for delivery confirmation to be updated the next day.

don't worry Parky, we'll get it sometime this week, as soon as customs have had their fun with it

Parky,

Like Baywing said, USPS doesn't track outside of the US. I have stuff shipped to me overseas all the time and it disappears on the dark side of the moon electronically (to us) once it leaves the States. It's coming, I wouldn't get too worried about it. The tracking utility is kind of useless for orders outside the US I think, I dunno why it's given.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. You'd think they'd at least be efficient enough to update their data to reflect having at least received the damned thing. Then again, we are talking about a postal service here. The terms "efficient" and "postal service" hardly go hand in hand.....lmao.

Thanks guys.

P.S.

Anyone else in Canada seen a DVD yet??? Pretty amazing they can arrive at destinations halfway around the world before they arrive in a country so close you can spit there if there's a south wind...lol.

I would not worry Parky. I had the same exact message from USPS every day I checked. The same was also the case when i entered the number in the Greek post tracking system.

The DVD arrived this morning. I think you'll be receiving yours very soon.

Hey there Parky - we're in the same area, and in the same boat. Avangate shipped mine on the 15th and still no sign of P3.

The only thing that has me somewhat optimistic is that since neither of us has received P3 in the Toronto area, the likelihood that they have both been lost in transit is minimal...I hope!

Perhaps today is the day? :jump:

No OFF DVD here on Vancouver Island either. Seems like nobody in Canada has received one yet, not that I have heard. Should be soon!!!

Hey Parky, and the others waiting

There seems to be little (or maybe: none) logic in postal services.
BLUE here near Berlin got his game a week ago - Widowmaker (UK) got his today. (And I thought, the Brits would have an advatage from American side, since the war. Lol!)
My advice: if you have a wife, go out with her. If you have kids: play with them. If you have a dog: walk it.
Because: when it finally arrives, you won't find time for them!

Cheers; Olham

Would it be ok if I was to tell the kids to take the dog out for a walk (a very long one) and I chose to stay home and play with the wife instead??:engel016:

Cheers,

Parky, the man with a plan. I like your thinking. No P3 here so far in Minnesota U.S.A.

Parky:
Just had a chat with my brother. He's quite high up in Canada Post, He said the holdup is generally with Canada Customs. There is no rhyme or reason to it, some stuff goes through right away, other stuff sits in their wharehouse either in Vancouver or Toronto. Sometimes they charge duty sometimes not. It's at the whim of the particular customs officer and whether he is having a bad day or not. It will eventually arrive.
