Jimmy Johnson doesn't lock the steering wheel on the spline shaft. The wheel comes off during qualifying and the car is wrecked. So upon leaving the medical center he tells a pit reporter "I don't know what happened, I'll have wait for the crew to figure it out". Seems he needs Chad's permission to tell the truth.
 
I guess that when a vital task is one person's responsibility and that person fails to perform that task, eventually they must own up to it.
 
During Sunday's race JJ was complaining about a loose wheel, Chad had a hell of a time figuring out which of the five it was. :biggrin-new:
