String Bag Lover's Only !

About the water being in the cockpit. It's a problem most sims have when putting an open hulled boat like a canoe or rowboat or lifeboat on water. To keep the water from showing in the bottom of the boat, the draw order has to be changed so that the bottom of the boat gets drawn last.

In the submarine sim that I worked on we had to put a fake top on the lifeboats to get things to work in the proper order. I'm not sure if the same trick can be applied to FSX.

ahhh... thank you for the insight.

I had also noticed it to a lesser degree in the Catalina...another 'big canoe'

its not a show stopper - just don't look down when taxiing

the model in every way is worth having and then some in spite of this small FSX anomaly

A work of Art!

Thanks Craig for sharing it with us.

Those textures are very well done. Nice attention to detail as well.

I downloaded this last night and while its not my kind of aircraft, I have to admit this is one excellent piece of modeling, that engine is absolutely wonderful I sat for about 20 mins last night just stopping and starting the engine while looking at it in full motion, really makes that aircraft something else, also excellent frame rates make it absolitely brilliant 10/10 from me and I don't give praise that easily!!!

Thanks Craig for this lovely toy! Highly appreciated! And please give Damian my regard and thank him for his lovely textures.

Cheers,
Huub

Hi,

The Lohner really does look like a WW1 powerboat with wings and an engine outside of the hull.

There are also small update files for both FS9 and FSX models available at the link posted above by Craig,

The 'S' is in version 2 now, with a wheeled cradle to access the water and vice versa :)
