Stuart Green's Pfalz DIIIa in FSX

I'm glad it is working now for you and thanks for the hint regarding the props and the sound gauge!
I'm using a more current version of the sound gauge which is working even under Vista64. I have attached it (rename txt to zip).

With Bob's props it looks perfect. I'm sure the performance problems could be solved by converting it into a native FSX model. But i guess that will remain a dream :frown:

Thank you very much Sim-Outhouse, Stuart Green, and Martin Wright.

And I found the problem for my fatal error when trying to fly them italoc. My system's FSX does not like dsd_xml_sound3.gau. Remove that one item from your FSX > Gauges folder and I can almost guarantee your aircraft will load and fly. the guns still fire for effectm, but there will be no sound.

BTW, I substituted the BananaBob's 888-8 32-bit propwashes for all three (found at Screenshot Art): the D.IIIA, D.VII and SPAD VII and all work hunky-dory. Thanks you so much my friends, I am so happy now to start unloading my textures for Stuart's wonderful aircraft to FSX. :ernae::medals:

Hurrah:applause::applause:
Bravo Caz: thanks to your advise to delete dsd_wml_sound3.gau
the plane is now flying like a bird in Italo's FSX.:ernae:
Thanks again, Caz:medals:

Nils,

I noticed your attachment is in .txt format. Should we rename it with a .gau extension?

S'okay, it takes my feeble brain two reads sometimes. Did what you said and renamed it ,zip and got the ,gau in the unzipping. Have moved it over, off to test and shall let you know. :applause:

Get Nils' sound gauge above, it works like a charm! Follow his instructions and rename it .zip. Once unzipped and installed in the FSX Root Directory, there was no hassles. :ernae::applause:

Great work fellas:d

Did these modified MDL's ever become available to download for those not brave enough to try this themselves? If not did anyone manage to convert the Snipe? Anyone work out what is the prop part for that. Stuarts model s are great... be good to be able to use them again in FSX. The Snipe looks good in FSX but the prop is the main let down.

I hate to resurrect an old thread like this, but was wondering if any of the converted model files for Stuarts Albatross Diii, Pfalz, and Spad might be available, Please?

Thanks

Thank you Roger. I have that one for the Fokker DVii, it works great! Was hoping for the Albatross, Spad and Pflaz.

Sorry, didn't read the whole thread. Nils was the driving force, model wise and I haven't seen Nils around for a while.

When you want I can mail you the Pfalz file. As said its heavy on frame rates but still a very beautiful model.

Although I most likely should have your e-mail address, I really would appreciate it if you could send it again in a PM.

As far as I know the Albatros has never be converted. There was somebody working on the SPAD, however I don't know whether this was ever completed.

Cheers,
Huub

Thanks Huub, I will send you a PM. I would be happy to convert them myself if I had a clue what to do. :banghead:

The files should be in your mailbox. I can't give credit to the person who did the conversion, because I really don't know. I think I received the files from Cazzie, but again, I'm not sure. Must be my age :icon_lol:

Enjoy,
Huub

I would be one who would love to see these models come to life in FSX. Stuart was always a perfectionist in his work He modeled and animated so many little moving parts that it was a joy to be outside and watch them.

Thank you very much Huub, I got the files. Will check them out here in a few minutes.
