Stuart Green's WW1 planes

I am extraordinarily interested in these wonderful WWI 'planes old wheat. I did convert them some time ago for my WWI install but, of course the control surfaces were locked and the dps were from other planes too.

I would love to see a new WWI mission or two, especially with these aircraft.

Well stoney it might be time for the WW1 guys that want missions to learn how to use the mission builder. It's really not that hard to do. Just use Cody's tutorial and you should be fine. Sometimes if you want something you have to do it yourself, that's why I started doing missions.

There is alot of info out there to do missions.

Blondi is the only one that I remember doing a campaign for aerocrate years back

Here's an Idea.....

Anyone remember the original Red Baron air sim ?

Almost all of the flight scenarios in that one were based on real air battles.....

Perhaps an online handbook can be located that details their composition and....

I remember Red Baron perfectly well. It gave me many hours of delight. It seems so long ago.... during the stone age. I had it in diskettes that I threw away not more than 5 years ago. Buaaaaaa!!!

Both Red Baron´s software and Handbook are available trough Internet. Tha Handbook doesn´t say much about the composition of the historical air battles. The soft is DOS based. I couldn´t load it in XP. (because of my limitations) I couldn´t see anything in the files. If someone needs this info just ask.

Cheers, Discus

Here are some pics from an old Voss Campaign I was working on for Aerocrate years ago. This was done before some of the planes were updated.

It's been slow going, but have Stuart's SPAD7 and AlbD3 up and running with new airfiles and DPs. So far, they will formation fly [important in WWI Missions], but will break off, acquiring targets on their own, during engagements. They do not sit there like ducks on a pond, waiting to be shot at, but will do a fair amount of wiggling when engaged. Also have the Caudron up, although the AI won't yet stay in a Mission formation, so I still have to play with the airfile a bit. Worked up a front/rear gun and 250lbs bombload on the DP, as it was historically. THANX to Stuart, Oldwheat and B24Guy for making these wonderfull models available in CFS2.... they are a joy to work with.

Seven years later . . . it's finally going to happen!

Stuart Green's Zeppelin-Staaken R.VI, Albatros D.III, Spad VII and a second edition of the Caudron G.IV will soon be uploaded.

The B24 Guy, AER_DaddyO, Ravenna and I have been working on the Staaken. I found B24 Guy's model conversions for the Albatros and Spad and am presently working on the panels for those aircraft. AER_DaddyO fixed the floor roller shutter on the Caudron and corrected the weight of the hand bombs.

Watch this space.

Kevin,
Thanks for tying all this together. Your panels are looking great. I seem to remember that Aer_DaddyO was also working on some floatplanes.

UncleTgt has done a beautiful RNAS skin for the Caudron G4. Thanks John!

We needed something to bomb Ravenna's and Allen's lovely Zeebrugge scenery.
