• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Stunning Combat Footage from the Pacific

Thank you...A Real Historic Document....not like we have not seen these war films often,, and now for many Years,We take them for granted often!,..But in this one, like a tired old news film,I had forgotten how young the kids were then.Hard to make the connection, today when we see the Vets from WW2,at some functions...now very old, and not many left, these the Greatest generation...Up close tho,and talking of this time in their youth, its their eyes, that tell it all.... Here in the Boneyard ,on the Gulf Coast,I see some of them,in the Stores, the drug stores, the waiting rooms to see doctors..Old now, feeble old men, often with canes and walkers,...but start a conversation with them? Man They Still are Kids!....We can never thank them enough for what they gave us!!...Vin
