I saw those the other day and the thing that struck me was that nearly all of the photo's were shot in low light (sunset, sunrise, heavy cloud). Does this reflect the personal taste of the judges, or don't photo's taken in natural light count?

It is becoming rare to see competition winners that are shot in natural light, which is a shame. All that said, these are stunning photo's
