There's a wonderful set of replacement effects files somewhere. I don't know where you can download them. I do have the zip file on my backup hard drive though.

The best way to compare aircraft is to listen to what people say, check out the websites, compare prices, etc., and form your own opinion. That's part of the fun, too.
