Suprunov Design DH Vampire out now...

The confusing thing is that I've seen some dynamite Supranov VC's before. He clearly knows how to do 'em.

Possibly he plans to do what Digital Aviation have done with their Fokker 70/100, ie, releasing it with 2D panels only, now, whilst planning on adding a VC at a later stage?

P.S. Bill I enjoyed your appearence on FSBreak. Sounded like fun.

...and I quote (from the Supranov Site):

FSX VAMPIRE v 1.0 (DVD PACK signed by author) IS OUT OF STOCK AT THE MOMENT.
We are thankful for the support of our first buyers. All disks were signed personally for each pilot.
Mass production V.2.0 (with VC) will be available soon in d/l variant at SimMarket (until end of the month).
Price is unknown at the moment. Refer to SimMarket materials. Owners of v.1.0 will be granted with free upgrade (same as was with our Yak-40 historically).

Frankly i would have brought it straight out , i m like that :icon_lol: .. currently to much is spent on PC parts moment , for Chris to point this out , make it easier to spend more on get this pc airborne again .

As a 3d artist, im very un-impressed with the model. It looks like a good CFS3 model, but a bad FS2004 model. There are no details at all. Not worth $26. Thats not even factoring in the lack of a VC that in this day and age is un-acceptable.

Looks okay to me, wasn't there a pretty good Alphasim Vampire? I can't find it in their shop (wich is unavailable for me right now)

Yes Alpha did a 2 seat version, it would really good to have a single seat version of the Vampire. Now we need a Meteor to go with it.

With VC am in...without it am out.....flying with my two monitors, soon three in 2D is like looking with the eyes of a turtle out of the cockpit....no way!!!!! its like seeing with longitudinal eyes!!!!:kilroy:

Allthough you are right of course that the lack of a vc is unacceptable these days, I do find your comments on the exterior model somewhat harsh:

One thing that seems to be a mystery to a lot of developers is how to take a decent screenshot. When you start asking almost $30.00 for an airplane without a VC, you better give the customer a real reason to buy the current model and the way you do that is with some nice crisp screenshots to show closeup detail. Their website has a bunch of screens, but they all look like the AA has been turned off, so every shot has a bad case of the jaggies. Not exactly the way to entice customers to spend their money.

Thank you, guys for keeping an eye on my efforts. Of course, as was clever mentioned before, I am not so stupid to make model w/o VC nowadays. The problem is that level was raised very high since Yak-40 VC and I cannot show you something poorly than that one. Also as real pilot I hate cockpits which cannot recreate "real feel".

Virtual cockpit (IMHO) is a core of the product. Everything else is funny decoration around it.

I am working on it (attached). And as I have something to offer (i.e. externals, dynamics, sounds and 2D) right now, why waste a time. I am very thankful to pilots who support me in my work buying what I have at hand now (and speeding up my work) and I am agree to upgrade them for free to version 2 with VC.

As for "jagged" screens. I am not photographer. I am pilot and designer. Certainly among our pilots are cool screens authors and with my full respect I can offer you navigate here: http://www.pilote-virtuel.com/viewtopic.php?id=12903

...forgotten

I am very thankful to RAF 6-th Sqn veterans who flew vampires for helping me to make squadron markings and for invitation to annual meeting.

Perhaps we can meet each other speaking here. Who knows...

Thats what I'm talking about when it has that VC I'm a customer, thats looking great, personally the external looks great to me and if it has that VC its a winner! I'm in big style!!!!!
EXCELLENT WORK!!! TBH It rivals CH FW190 for detail of gauges from the look of it, so best of luck and I can't wait for it here! :ernae:

With your outstanding support (I am just checking my site stats) "simouthouse" rules my site arrivals - I think that some nights w/o sleep and version 2 with this VC will be available in two weeks or so :running:

Yep just ordered mine, can't wait for the VC.

The Vampire is a true classic Brit jet. Many thanks for bringing it to the FSX world.
