SW China UT - A small collection of airstrips & G2K scenery for the SW corner of China.

SW China Scenery for CFS2 by UncleTgt

View attachment 173820

This is a reworking of the stock sceneries for the SW area of China. This is the sixth in a series of scenery releases, to expand & build on this area to cover more of the CBI theatre of operations. It is not a complete scenery set, as the area is simply too large & complex, but a collection of airfields used during the early part of the Burma Campaign in 1942. Some G2K scenery elements have been created around each...

UT,

Thanks,it looks great as usual. The last mission for the Defense of Rangoon will be done in a few days.

Is this the last of your work in the CBI?

Hiede,

I have Lashio & Namsang already done. Thinking about adding Meiktila, maybe small strips at Bhamo & Kengtung too, before releasing as a package.

I think the strip at Heho was a Jap construction after spring '42, so I'll leave that one out.

I'm currently working my way up the Irrawaddy from Prome to Magwe. I may then continue to Mandalay, depends on how long & complex the Magwe stretch takes.

I already have the G2K maps set up for the coastlines from Bassein to Ramree Island (no permanent air facilities in this section), Ramree to Akyab, & then Akyab to Chittagong... but each section probably takes a solid 8 weeks to do, so not anticipating finishing them any time soon!!!

I also have the G2K map sorted for the Tavoy area, but have parked it as I think there are more useful bits to do first 😀.
