Fantastic repaints Jankees, I am very impressed of how the old markings shine through. Awesome. I am no expert but I rate Gul Kalle the best repaint I have ever downloaded for any aircraft. :salute:

44-13345 "Mary Ann" Released

Okay, part 1 of 2 on this aircraft is available, stay tuned for 26003 after getting her Swedish colors!

And to catch us up:
1/Lt. Charles E. Burtner, in his P-51D-5-NA "Mary Ann" (8th AF, 357th FG, 364th FS) was in escort for a bombing against Rechlin, Germany on the 25th of August, 1944. His aircraft reportedly had engine trouble, forcing him to land in neutral Sweden. Burtner and his wingman were interned.

Sweden bought the aircraft, entering service in July of '45, becoming their 3rd "J.26" Mustang, 26003, under Flygflottilj F16 (Uppland Air Force Wing, Uppsala, Sweden) and the first of their D models. (and the only one without the Dorsel Fin Fillet)

Enjoy!

Joseph
