SweetFX Plus "Antilag"

fsxar177

Long-Time Enthusiast
Good day fellas,

I'm not usually stumped by a FSX performance, or tweak question;
However...

Upon installing, and fooling with "SweetFX", I have discover that it seems impossible to run my antilag frame limiter, at the same time. Previously, with ENB, I would run antilag as proxy, however, now I seem unable.

Maybe there's PROXY entry of sorts, that I could use to do a similar thing, with SweetFX.. Anybody know?

Joseph

Maybe check the thread over on Guru3D for some insight? There seem to be quite a lot of people using it now, and I am sure someone has encountered your specific issue...

I had the same problem with the frame limiter. I resorted to using the one in Nvidia inspector. It seems to be working well and I kept sweetfx as it I like it better than ENB plus it seems to be less of an overhead for my system than ENB was. All this is based on overall experience since I have not done any testing or measurement before and after.

Interesting;

I have found thus far, that reverting back to using the internal limiter, and then running sweetfx, is actually, pretty sweet. Still experimenting.

Joseph

I did the same... drop the FPS_limiter and just using the internal limiter set at 30. Love it... smoother than before and that's using SweetFX HDR!

I have been toying around with this sweetfx quite a bit today;

I found that the following is looking pretty nice.

You really need to get the GUI version. It allows you to tweak it without having to edit the text file. It might make the whole experience a lot better than it already is! It tells you what the defat values are and you can save "versions" that you can load at anytime. You can also revert to default if need be without worrying that you'll lose settings.

I have too same problem with SweetFX and limiter.

Now I use internal FPS limiter in FSX (set 50 fps) but better works External (FPS_limiter).
