Switzerland at Dusk (screenshots)

Thanks David for posting this.

Dont ya love Flickrs new Slide Show feature?

May I ask what version of Switzerland you have, by whom? I love making a run through the mountains out of Innsbruck.

Ouch, it's still quite a distance from this part of Austria (Innsbruck) to Switzerland. Lots of default scenery in between. Switzerland X was my favourite....until ORBX. In the meantime I find the resolution to be a bit on the low side (and the coloring of the landscape a bit strange). But if you stay far enough away from the mountains and the ground it's still a very impressive scenery...
The scenery is available via Flylogic

This is Switzerland Professional X. It's expensive, and what sg38 says about it here is all true. Still, it's the best photoscenery I know of: autogen everywhere, night textures, winter textures, and consistently good (not perfect) aerial photographs. I love the Orbx scenery too.

Beautiful shots, i've just checked your Kauai album to, on Flickr: What kind of aircraft, you used in this album ?

That's a Diamond Katana by Digital Aviation flying over the default scenery. If you're interested, I recommend that you wait. The original modeler is working on a new version that will be, among other things, FSX-native, which the DA product isn't.

Those are indeed reat shots! Thanks for sharing them!

Nothing beats photoscenery, especially if you know the area and can navigate by landmarks.

I love Switzerland, I have family living in the Geneva lake area and I have flown once from Sion over the Alps in a Robin 400. Actually I happen to be in Switzerland right now writing this post!:wavey:

I have posted recently some shots at the GEX simforums site taken during the Swiss mountain flying missions by vertical simulations: You may see how the area is depicted under UTX and GEX:

You can either navigate by landmarks or navigate by flight instructor :icon_lol: ... thanks for posting these images (on simforums). They're from the FREE add-on Mission for FSX. Here's a video showing the default scenery ... still a beautiful flight:

A video of Switzerland X by my partner Xavier. This shows off quite a bit of the scenery. I would have to imagine that with Chris' missions, and the (albeit expensive) Switzerland package, you could have one heck of a fun time.

Swiss Pro X is in my opinion one of the best sceneries ever made for fsx the framerates are excellent producing clear images even on lower spec systems, I don't have it installed at the moment but some of my bst flights have been while using this scenery, I used to love shooting up the Matahorn and down the glaciers in a Hunter or MirageIIIR/S brilliant times! I used to mainly fly from Sion, Emmen, Locarno and Molis also!
