T-28D Trojan released. payware

Just received a note from flightsimstore to say that version V1.1 update is out for the T28.
Problem is I did not buy it there I bought it at FSpilot shop and they do not have the update yet.Ant's Airplanes has released an updated version 1.1 of the T-28D Trojan.

Version 1.1 fixes the following bugs/errors:
- Fixed attitude indicator pitch indicator
- Changed cockpit utility light effect location
- Changed ADF to select by 0.1 in frequency range 200-400hz
- Reduced specular power to avoid washout.
- Fixed Avionics switch to always be on (resolves some radio issues)
- Fixed exterior texture issue with rear cockpit in Solo version in DX10 preview mode
- Fixed ToolTip display for rudder setting in 2D trim panel popup
- Added default ADF radio to Transponder/Autopilot 2D popup
- Improved prop disk texture
- Changed wing tip vaportrail effect to new dummy effect

Currently I have only heard back from Simmarket and Flight Sim Store about the update.

I am yet to hear from FS Pilot Shop and PC Aviator.

Only when I have heard from all retailers will I update my webpage and the demo version.

Thank you for the info Anthony31, I will keep my eye open for FS Pilot Shop.

I can't get the auto start to work on mine (manual start works fine though) so I may just do a complete uninstall reinstall to see if it fixes the auto start.

Thanks JimJam

This is what the Simmarket email that announces the patch says about it:

The installer is a complete replacement for previous versions,
existing customers just need to remove the old version and install the new one.

I was able to do a proper loop with no problem, using moderate back pressure on the stick, (proper) and full throttle with prop at 2250 rpm. I then tried a hard pull, and she snapped, also correct. Pointing the nose down, opposite rudder and off the elevator, she stopped the spin and recovered, all exactly as she should.Required about 4500 feet to recover, again about correct. Excessive use of rudder will really snap a roll, and will cause big problems if low and slow. Aileron rolls, barrel rolls, loops, were well done, when flown fast and open, as a warbird should be. Well, as fast as a T-28 will go.:icon_lol:

I had one problem with the radios. Somehow, right after take-off, while on climbout, ATC weather, for a different airport than I was using, KSEE, Gillespie in San Diego, Ca. came on, and I could not turn it off. I had to turn ALL the radios off manually, never did find out for sure which one actually turned it off. I could then turn on the sim's ATC and use it, even though the aircraft's radios were off.

Other than that, I really enjoyed my short flight around San Diego with it. Excellent job, Anthony. Thank you.
Don

With my limited use so far, I also experience the radio/ATC problem. However, Ant's airplanes are definately top-notch. I bought the Sierra for sight-seeing.

Obie311, I was finally able to take a look at the flight plan for Long Tieng (L20A). There are two assigned T-28s there. They only fly once a day. One takes off at 0400 Zula (10:00 A.M., local) and returns about 15 minutes later. The other takes off at 0500 Zula (11:00 A.M., local) and returns about 15 minutes later. I just confirmed that on my computer that has FSX installed. I didn't get any good screen shots....

Hope this helps you do a little formation flying around the skies of Laos.

Make sure you have the AI aircraft sliders up high enough. The manual says 30% gets 7 aircraft, 70% gets all aircraft. Not sure what gets the T-28s so i set mine to 70%. One more thing, not sure if it is my FSGenisis mesh but the one that takes off at 10:00AM took off climbing left bank and went right into a tall, tree covered peak :0 Glad I was not tight on his wing ;)

Dave, I'm glad you were not tight on his wing also. We don't need anymore KIAs at Long Tieng...:icon_lol: I removed what looked like an extra bgl file from my install of Long Tieng (L20A) because before removing it, I had trees and buildings sitting in the middle of the runway.

Hi Anthony. I called FS Pilot Shop this AM. They said they have the upgrade but they are waiting for their website guy to upload it. They said maybe Sat. AM. Is there any way to get the upgrade from somewhere else? Bob.

Can we please keep this thread on topic please? The topic is Ant's T-28D Trojan v 1.0 and now v 1.1.

Thank you.

Well, exuse the hell out of me Roger....For what it's worth the topic still is Ant's T-28D Trojan v.1.1 and doing some formation flying with AI T-28Ds.
But don't worry, I won't post another thing here at the Outhouse.

Now Randy, my post was polite and to the point. This thread is about the evolution of Ant's T-28D and spurious posts were making it difficult to find the wheat from the chaff as reported to me by an interested party. Your reply was not polite and you may do as you wish regarding your posting at this forum but I would suggest that you respond as you might to any policeman simply doing his duty.

Now let's on with the thread on topic, please.

Dave

Using CTRL+E to start the engine will not go through the full start procedure (it just was too hard to stop FSX from going through its own autostart routine).

The best way to get the Autostart with custom animations is to right click on the starter button or use a key command for "Starter 1". Either of these methods should work.

I'm afraid not Bob. Updates are only available from your account with the retailer.
