T-28D Trojan released. payware

Mmmm..... just what I was talking about, and if that's not over reacting, I don't know what is;-)

You might want to think about what your sig says Roger;-)

You seem so intent to disrupt the topic about a model that you do not have. No other toys you can play with?

To be totally honest here, I've been a lurker for a long time of SOH, but now, after having become a member recently, I'm wondering if I did the right thing becoming a member.

Especially after seeing such a lot of unpleasantness going around in a thread that should be about a brilliant model just released... I just don't get it.

IMHO threads like these should be about exchanging views and info. Encouraging the involved dev into making more of these delights. No ugliness please...

Sorry for the rant. I'm just quite disappointed now....

I thought the same thing but was advised on another Forum that it is available as a re-download. Go to your account and you will see it dated 11 May 13. The filename is ANT-115.zip but when you unzip it it is AntsT28DV110.exe. They don't do like the other retailers and send an e-mail that there is an update. Bob.

Thanks for the HU on this , just downloaded and installed.

Regards
Bruce.

If I were you I'd pm rdaniell and see what he thinks about your post. Chances are he'll tell you to move on and stop criticising staff for doing their job. If you don't like it then you know what to do...for now that choice is yours...

Roger, he doesn't need to p.m. me. I'll post my thoughts about this whole unpleasant issue publically.

I was mostly responsible for Roger's original post. I was completely responsible and accountable for my response which for most of you'll who know me, know was totally out of character for me. Roger and I have known each other through the Outhouse for many years and I consider him my friend. He and I have traded several p.ms. about this recent event. We are still friends and both of us, especially me, would like for this "mess" to be over.

It was never my intention to hijack the thread but I can see how all my posts about things other than Ant's current release did just that. Again, I never meant to distract from Ant's original thread. After all, if you read the manual, you will see that Anthony allowed me the priveledge of being one of the beta testers for this great airplane.

So now can we all get back to sharing our thoughts, experiences, questions, etc., about this airplane.

Well said.

OK

Simmarket, Flightsimstore and FS Pilot Shop all seem to have the V1.1 update.

PC Aviator australia and USA don't seem to have updated yet (I have received no acknowledgement from either of the last two, I've just re-sent the email to PC Aviator Australia).

I did, of course, contact all companies at the same time.

Unfortunately I have no control over these things after that and each company handles things differently (as you can see I name my installers with the version number for easy reference, but then FS Pilot Shop puts them in a zip and gives them a general name). Hopefully once the weekend is finished PC Aviator will fix this up.

To update, login to your retailers account and download the T-28D installer again. You should be able to just run the installer with no need to uninstall the previous version, all the files will just overwrite what is there and there have been no changes to the file structure).

Well,

I've read all the threads and all I can
say is I can not stop flying my Trojan.

Thank you Anthony for many hours of
enjoyable flying!

John.

just pickup the T28 looking forward to fly it Is there any Kind of patch for Multiplayer so it can be used online?

Thanks Mike:salute:

My sentiments, John. It's a difficult plane to let alone -- even for a short while. It kinda gets into your blood, somehow.

Thanks, Anthony: For your skills and your generosity.

I've downloaded the update from PC Aviator USA on 5-11, no notice from them... just downloaded from your account once again.

Thanks TuFun

Many thanks for this HU (downloading as we speak) and your wonderful T-28. Having been lucky to have sampled both the T-28B and the Fennec in the past, this brings back a lot of good memories. Thank you so much!!!

Best wishes,

Martin

This was well worth the money -- It's the most realistic feeling prop I've flown in FSX -- I just love it. I'll buy anything else Ant makes.

I'm not seeing any multiplayer problem -- flew a two ship last night and it was great, this aircraft doesn't flood servers with key events -- it's multiplayer friendly. Don't know about shared cockpit, but it's wonderful for formation.

Given that view, PC Aviator has all his other airplanes on sale for 40% off plus today is 10% Tuesday.

I fell for it too! Glad I did!

I visited my other purchase, Skiathos on a dusk and landing from the north on Rwy20:

The flying feels wobbly but can't say if it is realistic or not. It feels right somehow. I like the way she stalls, spins and recovers. Flaring for landing and touchdown also feels right. One can keep the nose in the air for some time and decelerate without breaks.

Great work Anthony! Thanks!

Ok, I finally broke down and bought it! Must admit though, I will still hope for a Trojan with a tail hook! NC

Second that request. (Still some pretty fine work even if the AF guys can't land properly.)

That's cute but we all know Navy teaches crash landings for good reason. LOL
Watched T-28 landings for most of 1967 and it seemed to float to the ground. Seems to me it could land without needing a hook. A no talent like me ought to hit that tiny boat easily with Ant's T-28, need all kinds of help with my controlled crashes. So put a hook on it just for fun.
