T-37 in P3D v2.5

I'm afraid that I can't be much help to you regarding Prepar3D. However, I did check my FSX install. This texture file loads just fine in FSX. The area of the cockpit that you're referring to shows up just like the texture file.

Hmmm, ok then that's even more odd now, lol. If it shows up, actually if all the other areas on that texture sheet display properly, why would that one area not show up? Weird. Thanks Randy!

I realized something. . .when in the VC, that texture shows on the back panel. . .it's only from the exterior that it doesn't.

I checked and do indeed have the same problem from the outside!

PS: sorry for the late answer! We're in full preparation of a migration to exchange 2013 and When coming home, I rarely even want to look at a computer screen!

I'm a little late to this discussion, but am equally interested in any potential this beautiful T-37 model might have in P3D.

My dad and I both went through UPT during the Tweet era (separated by a "few" years, of course), and enjoyed getting this thing working in FSX for some formation work. Link to a video from that time shows how good this relatively old model still looks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WmtXkBhN6g

Back then, I was able to get most of the important flight gauges working by eliminating some of the non-critical systems built into the CAB file. Tacked on "TextInfoGauge" to fill in the blanks and allow us to fly some interesting UPT training profiles.

How far have you guys been able to go with this? Have you gotten the ADI and BDHI, for example, to work?

Microsim T-37 Tweet Panel Fix for P3D

Got excited about bringing the old Tweet up to speed in P3Dv2, and put together a panel mod pack that seems to allow everything important to function. It may be this problem was already solved long ago, but couldn't find anything on it. Here's the link:

I remember this model working very well in multiplayer - logged some great formation time in it using FSX several years ago.

Do we want to tackle fixing the newer release of this Microsim model (main change appears to be a slightly higher resolution interior VC model)?

Just tried it, working for me. I guess if nothing else, search "Microsim T-37 Tweet Panel Fix: P3D". Search for "exact phrase", and it pops up.

Maybe SoH folks need to review the upload before it gets released? Would explain why it works for me but is not live yet for anyone else.

Uploads will always appear to the person who uploaded them before anyone else can see them. There is a delay between the time a person uploads something here and when it's available to others. Lots of factors determine how long that delay time is.

I still get this

  • There is nothing here to show you (no permission, all entries hidden, etc)

I use IE11 - yes I know but I cannot get along with Chrome or Firefox.

Greetings,
I'm an old tweet instructor and am just getting back into flight simming.

Can anyone tell me where I can find the Microsim T-37 for MS flight sim. I've found a panel upgrade on this forum but haven't found the aircraft. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Short answer is that it's no longer available for sale. One of the original developers is a member here and stops by from time to time, but as far as I know he's still in the AF and his flying duties keep him pretty busy. He has shown some interest in upgrading the Tweet to FSX standards, however that could be quite a ways down the road. Those of us who have worked on it, both in the service and here as a Sim have something that "works", but the drawback is that very few of the systems still function, it's really down to the basics (gears, control surfaces, Nav/Beacon/Landing lights and maybe a few others). Unfortunately the coding used to operate all the systems in FS9 did not translate to FSX.

I may have the original installation file around somewhere and if I can find it, I'll send it along.
