• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

T-38 that works in FSX

Does anyone know if there is a T-38 somewhere that actualy works (including the VC) in FSX? I get so tired of the ones that claim to work and you get them and install them only to find out you have invisible textures and 90% of the gauges have an error because they aren't compatible and the VC is non existent and even the 2D panel, if it does work, is from an F-16 or something, but they swear up and down that it's FSX compatible. So now that I have vented, back to the original question...is there a Talon somewhere that works? I have the FSD one for FS9 and while the model works and it flies nice, the VC doesn't work at all; I think because FSX uses the $xxxxxx file in a different way or something. So, one more time, T-38 Talon????? Please???
 
The Talon from FSD is the white one with the blue stripe, right ?
I don't think there's any other freeware Talon with a VC, unfortunately :/
I suppose you absolutely want a Talon ? You're not interested in the F-5 mono-seat ?

Yes I want a T-38. I want it! I want it! I want it! I already have a good F-5E. I also have an F-5F but I don't like it much. The VC works well even though it's from FS9, but the model of the VC, i.e. the windscreen and instrument panel, aren't modeled right and visibility is terrible out the front. I saw a rumor on another forum the other day that FSD may be working on an FSX T-38 but who knows when or if that will really happen?
 
I hope FSD re-does their C-17 as well. I'll buy both. I haven't bought them yet because noone can tell me exactly what doesn't work in FSX acceleration. I've developed my own fixes before.....but some things are beyond my means.

It doesn't have to be freeware; I would pay for it if one was available and actualy worked.
