Tail hook

When landing on a carrier with a plane equipped with a tail hook how does one get the tail hook down ?
 
I have found that many of the A/Cs will have a tail hook drop when you open the canopy shift+c.
I am trying to get the tail hook working on the 3un_f4u_1aw, any idea?
