tail wheel steering

Skylane did a modification to the Fdg2 b-17E that allowed better ground handling. This was done with the aircraft file. I would like to do this with the Alpha B-17D and other series of the B-17. What file in the aircraft folder do I modify? I think it has to do with the rudder movement. Please enlighten me on this modification.

Magic Numbers....

It's actually done in the Aircraft Config File to adjust the amount of pivot in the tail [or center/steerable] wheel.....

The number in
RED below tells the a/c how much steering pivot is allowed - lower numbers [30 - 45] are best, but experiment to see what a particular plane likes.

EXAMPLE

[contact_points]
static_pitch = 10.000
static_cg_height = 6.000
tailwheel_lock =0
gear_system_type =1
max_number_of_points =7

point.0= 1, -17.583, 0.000, -3.109, 3200, 0, 0.500, 30.000, 0.200, 2.500, 0.800, 8.000, 6.000, 0
point.1= 1, 1.600, -3.700, -6.586, 2200, 1, 1.050, 0.000, 0.350, 2.500, 0.830, 3.500, 3.000, 2
point.2= 1, 1.600, 3.800, -6.586, 2200, 2, 1.050, 0.000, 0.350, 2.500, 0.830, 10.500, 10.300, 3

See what you think, and have fun experimenting ! :wavey:

I always use 45 to 50. The airplanes handle perfectly this way.
Btw, this wasn´t my idea, I got it from someone here in the forum.
