Special Server Maintenance
Just when you think you have everything running some what better...
You get a message from the Hosting company. Short story they need to move us to a new server. I have been working with them to plan a good date for all concerned. Here is what we have come up with as a schedule.
- November 4th 17:00 -5UTC shut off the forums and start backup proceedures. During this time there will be no access to the forums or the Resource Section.
- November 5th Continue with Backups and download same until complete.
- November 6th 7:00 turn over server to hosting company to move system to new server
- November 7th - 8th restore backups and upgrade forum software.
If all goes well we should be back online on November 8th.
To keep you updated we will post updates on AVSIM forums.

Being 'Mercedes' they'll get away with it, legal or not.

Comment re Red Bull:"The car looks fantastically agile in the medium-high speed sequences, notably between Turns 2-3. The abruptness with which Max Verstappen and Alex Albon could change direction there shaded even the Mercedes (assuming they were running similar fuel loads). But that’s not the essential key to super-fast Barcelona laps; rather the big gains are to be made in the slow-speed sections in Turns 4, 5, 10 and the chicane. Here, it has not yet been as easy a car to manoeuvre as the Mercedes."
Apparently there are gains to be made, in which case the 'Purple Pole Syndrome' will most likely see the entire grid sporty similar trick front suspension packages, whether good, bad or indifferent.
Particularly as it has been judged 'legal'................except it would appear not to be so from 2021 onward.
All very 'Monty Pythonesque' as usual.

If innovation keeps getting banned, then before you know it, F1 will have 'template' cars like Indycar.......
