Tempest Repaint

You are correct Capt. They will conflict.

I could not get the new name to work with by changing the m3d files and new .dds

I do not know if it was the capitals in the name or what. I will try again as to not leave Axenti hanging. He has some issues now, I think that he has a stock game at this time and the planes work, now
 
I got the editor to work finally
At first I was trying to change this 3gb_Spit_ixc_150, change to 3gb_spit_ixc_BER , It would not take at all, I went through all files using the HEX Edetor and changed everything I found to that name. It still would not load.

I then used 3be_spit_ixc_150 which then worked good. Did the same for the Tempest; 3be_tempest_mkv_BERaiders using the renamed clostempest_t to BERaiderstp_t

Both now work. I do not know what was wrong the first time, must have had another entry somewhere that conflicted by changing the last part of the name.

no worries, your example 3gb_spit_ixc_BER should have worked, there must have been one name change somewhere that was missed.

Kevin's getting there now, we have been emailing last night and today, he now has hex32 and is using it just fine, were also working on his standalone making procedure, almost there now.
