Texture Issue FP B-17G

Can someone tell me why the texture on the FP B-17G does not render accurately? Apparently I never noticed this but the spinner and propeller housing on the number 4 engine is not cover in the texture. Not being a painter I can't say if it's a mapping issue or messed up textures. I did try blacking out the T, R and S texture files one at a time to find the culprit but no joy. My next guess would be a mapping issue but again I can't say I understand how that works.

It looks like a mapping issue to me, that cant be fixed without the gmax source file. It means the person who put the model together has inadvertantly forgotten to assign a texture sheet to the parts that make up the prop boss for No.4

My guess is bieng a silver prop boss and having the part in gmax renderded in white/silver they havent noticed it was not textured.

The very little I do in gmax, I always make sure I use the most horrible colours (hot pinks etc) so that I dont accidently forget to texture something.

In the attached picture I have highlighted the area that textures the prop boss, all of the prop boss's share this one portion of the texture map.

File names to look for:
AvH_US_B-17G-80_003 (Bit-O-lace)

AvH_US_B-17G-80_001 (Molly II)

there both standalones.

I already did download them. But I really like is the 398th Bomber Group.
There's something else. I'm trying to create a gmax ki-61 in order to use the Rising Sun I'm still a beginner and it will take much to get done, but if someone can help me with tips and advice I would be delighted.
 
Capt Winters thats seems very plausible but definitely brings another question to mind? You will note that the spinner or prop boss as you say is properly textured in this photo. This is the skin by turkey vulture for the FP B-17G and his screen shot for the upload. I have his skin but still have this issue, this leads me to believe I may be missing a texture file. Otherwise why is his textured properly and mine are not?

Any chance you can email me all the textures you have for the G-model including shared files. I have FP but apparently I am missing some .dds file you must have.
 
Out of curiosity, what are your aircraft detail settings? I'm not sure if this affects texture rendering, just an idea. I've also noticed other untextured areas (look under the nacelles).

My settings are on high but this has never been a problem. Truthfully I think it's something else.
