• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

The Bristol Bristol Beaufighter exhibited weak longitudinal stability and poor characteristics, especially following loss of an engine on take-off. One example was fitted with a larger tailplane with twin endplate fins in an attempt to address these problems. The final solution, adopted on later Marks was a 20% increase in tailplane area accompanied by 12 degrees of tailplane dihedral. I think this might be one. Robert

Very nice ! but what is it?:applause:

It's a Gloster F9/37 Grimreaper built by Bill Holker in 2007. It had a lot of conversion features. The landing gear wheels penetrated the upper nacelle cover. A lot of good people worked on it without success until I asked MAV to did it! It's a fantastic model for a very promising aircraft with some interesting features, like a 15° battery of three 20 mm cannons installed after the cockpit.

It's an old dream come true...
