Note - Kobayashi & Vergne drop 5 & 10 grid spots respectively for causing collisions at previous round. Hulkenberg drops 5 for gearbox change. Pic failed to make 107% mark - races at stewards' discretion.

Yes one of the more interesting qualifying sessions: no-one could afford to sit around in the pits and just put in a quick one, minutes before the chequered flag!
Track conditions changed so quickly, you had to be consistent, and hope your fastest was in a faster weather window than the other guy.
Ferrari seemed to be suited to Silverstone this year - Massa in 5th on the grid is a bit of an eye-opener!
As is somnambulent Button, out in Q1, down in 18th...
Schumacher was really trying, great to see.

Brilliant track, I think the epitome of what a Formula One circuit should look like.
Shaping up to be a great race too, I think Hamilton will throw caution to the wind and just go for it - nothing to lose from 8th place, really.
Oops he has to pass Massa.

Race day, sunny, light breeze, not a bad Effwun race with a well crafted victory.
Shame about the MotoGP round in Germany.
:kilroy:

Yah...go Webber.:australia: Did watch the MotoGP as well...desperately unlucky, a 2nd place would have been better than a DNF for Stoner.

... a well crafted victory.
Absolutely.
I thought Alonso had it in the bag, but if you play the race through, you can see Red Bull had their measure, right from the start.
A truly pathetic display from McLaren...

Maldonado a very well-deserved fine and reprimand for poor driving, and Kobayashi fined for running over 3 mechanics.
