The 82nd Fighter Group, 12th Air Force in the MTO released

casbah cities?? in the scenery.cfg? I deleted the entry.

Okay, had to fix the sound.cfgs of all the aircraft, your installer overwrote all of my sound.cfg files.\

I do not alias anything in my installs. I also have NO Japanese or USN aircraft in my ETO/MTO installs.

So now I get the loading screen and then CTD. Still working to find the buggers.

Okay,
Now I am really stumped......:banghead::dizzy:

I get no error messages at startup or error.txt in the main folder.

The start screen P-38 loads just fine.

When I have deleted the filelist.dat/*.cdp/index files the P-39 screen loads showing scenery loading and goes to the P-38 start screen just fine.

Then, every time: CTD.

I have checked all aircraft and all files are good, including sound.cfgs.

I have checked every ship and all have panel and sound txt files in folders.

I have checked the scenery.cfg and it is fine with no errors.

I have used MK's utility to check all aircraft and ships for all missions and those are all fine.

I have used Jonesoft QCEdit to make sure my Quick Combat file is correct.

I installed the 82nd to a new, pristine CFS2 install.

I am going to reinstall CFS2 from disks to reinstall all of the CFS1, Japanese, and USN stuff I always delete for ETO/MTO.

I'll let y'all know what happens.:running:

Okay,
Re-installing solved most of the problems.

However, on the first mission at least, the scenery at my destination is funkety. I have squares with gsl scenery, no real textures.
Here is my scenery.cfg

Sorry you are having all the issues. Everyone customizes their CFS2 set ups, that is why I recommend starting with a fresh install. Once the campaign is all loaded up and working you can then customize it how you want it.

Regarding the destination on the first mission - are you referring to Gibraltar? You're seeing the buildings but not the ground textures or just the airfield area is black? Or is it that you are getting untextured scenery squares? If it is the former, it sounds like the Gibraltar scenery bitmaps are either missing or corrupted. If it is the latter you probably still need to copy all of the bitmaps from the CFS2/SceneDB/world/texture folder and paste them into the CFS2/TEXTURE folder.

Look inside the SCENEDB\Gibraltar43 texture folder and make sure the texture folder is there and compare the files there to what is in the Afnor Scenery part 1 download. Also check the scenery file and make sure all the bgl files are there. nothing will show if the airfield bgl is missing.

The Scenery.cfg file looks fine.

If everything checks out, then something else odd is going on.

one way to sidestep the issue is to install it to a different location. then do it manually. even with a fresh install I tend to do this. old habbits die hard.
