Adaptability and durability are the leading reasons for the B-52 remaining in front line service. Built from 1952 to 1962 and entering service in 1955, the B-52 remains a front line bomber and may remain in service to at least 2040 and perhaps even longer! This aircraft was "born" before I was and I may well die of old age before it is retired. Absolutely incredible.
