can anyone compare the milviz 310r with 340. Everything I read about the 310 is how real the flight dynamics are and that the graphics are very good.

It would be nice to hear from someone with both.

While I don't own the 310, the one thing I noticed right away with the 340 is that it flys with an obvious nose down atitude. Unless I can't read this particular Artificial Horizon correctly, it is also indicating a nose down/level flight situation.

In checking the default FSX Payload Manager this morning, something does not look right that may be part of the issue. With the aircraft completely empty the CG is just behind the prop. If I put a pilot in it takes around 2000# in the Aft Cargo area to put the CG in a normal location.

According one RL 340 pilot's notes I was reading it should only take about 35# in the Aft Gargo area to correct the pilot only + fuel CG.

When I loaded up an aircraft this morning using the FSX Payload Manager to put the CG in a normal range, it made the aircraft almost uncontrollable.

I love Carenados and own their entire FSX fleet and the 340 is certainly a beauty. They are one of the few company out there that anything they put out is on my auto-purchase list, but it appears right now to me that it has the same odd flight atitude problems that the Saratoga and Arrow do.

I've already made a note of this over at the Carenado forum, but it was tucked at the end thread covering some other nose heavy issues also.
