The Chrome Shuffle

Did Chrome just decide to change it's look or did I get nailed again? I was looking up stuff about the Columbine shootings for work and am wondering if a site had the usual anti-world, hackers haven type of virus hidden within. My chrome opening page changed to the Google 'duh' page, and the options page left-hand menu looks different now with what seems like less to choose from. History and Bookmarks look the same but extensions has a different look too. I'll be running FSecure to see if anything turns up.

No changes here either...I'm running the latest version,Chrome 19.0.1084.46.

sounds like one more good reason to switch to opera, if you ask me.

It was some kind of hack cause all my restore points are gone too. But a full removal and fresh reinstall of Chrome still had the same small changes. It's like at times on other computers when a news site or something just loads weird with none of the graphics and design aspects. So I get chased off IE to FF because of bad defenses, then away from FF to GC because it's less of a resource hog. I have Opera so I suppose will have to check that out again. Sigh..

Tried Opera at one stage but there seemed like to much cluttered up stuff on the browser...was kind of like taking a step backwards to confusion for me.

Came across two work computers that had the same small visual changes. Maybe I'm among the vanguard of the New Look coming to a PC near you. Big woopie.
