The Goose is back

I always wondered why someone would not want to start a production line of the G21 again. It can really handle rough water situations and it is a very versatile and hardy flying platform...Glad to see this!

Antilles Seaplanes went out of business a while back after being foreclosed on. Their website is still up but I have not heard of any real movement on them building & selling new aircraft in some time.

That could very well be, The video is from 2005. It would be sad if no one picked up on all their equipment and molds for the goose.

I love the Radial engine Goose but I find it difficult to think of a business model that would work for substantially upgrading them in any significant numbers.
At best it might work as a smaller side business of a larger company but even then housing all the manufacturing equipment would seem like it would drive prices out of a competitive range.
Viking Air seems to have found a way to market new DHC-6 s but that aircraft is so much more versatile and has such a demand for commercial operators that keeping old ones airborne is a market in itself.
I would be delighted to be proven wrong but I just don't see this market as ever being more than a cottage industry.
