:salute:Alan Moorehead was an Australian war correspondent and historian who wrote many books--famous now. I am gradually finishing his book on the North African Desert War, titled THE DESERT WAR.
It is superb, both for quality of writing, and for the many facts and rich information he gives. It can be used to draw information to make missions for CFS2 and other war sims. In it many details are also included for the ground war, the tank warfare, etc, plus strategy and tactics--so that makes it ideal for tank war games also.
Another fascinating aspect is that Alan advances views and assessments no one has made before, like comparisons of the British and German army qualities, analyses of the way things were run by commanders and who actually made the decisions, propaganda analyses, conditions of the ground, battles like Tobruk and Alamein--all seen with his own special eye and insights produced by a great mind.

If you want to get a book you cannot put down, this is one.
