My best friend in the Navy when I was at Pax River in 73, had a 1972 Gremlin X. I think it had a V8? All I remember is that was a FAST car!

I had two friends who had Gremlins back in the 70's. One was a '71 6 cylinder automatic, which was plenty strong for the car. The other was the V-8 X as you stated. The problem with the X that he had was it was a manual THREE-SPEED! Who the hell would order that and think it was a good idea? LOL! It was yellow with black interior. Real great choice in South Florida. Black seats feel good there! OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!

My shipmate's Gremlin X was also a three-speed. It was awesome!!!!! I would have wanted the same thing!

First time hearing of "The Hollies" Pete! I like them! Thank you for posting!

And also, what great honor for your Dad, to have one of his pictures as your avatar. Very sweet & loving gesture!

Thank you for your comment about my dad, C9. He was a wonderful father, and a great man. Very outgoing, and never met a stranger. I think of him every day, and miss him terribly. He passed in 1993. NC

That was a nice trip down memory lane. I had a few of those songs on 45s when they were in the top 10 of the hit parade. I think that "Look Through Any Window" was my favorite Hollies song although I liked almost everything they did.

YEAH!!!!! I second all of the above- and add 'Dear Eloise' and 'Stop-Stop-Stop'! Thanks for blowing the cobwebs off some good memories!
