'The Hottest New Digital Camera Out'...

I have to disagree a bit here....:kilroy:

Yes the D40 is a very capable in-expensive DSLR camera :) but if you're looking to shoot a lot of high ISO shots, or a lot of motion, then the D40 isn't the best choice....:kilroy:

You're absolutely right... I should have said "Ken" recommends that you only get the D40 for great all-around shots, you know, like family get-togethers and so on... I personnaly have the D90, but I'm sure that the D40 is great also. As he (Ken) says, it's generally not the equipment you have, but how you use it. He's opened my eyes to what I can do with mine, and I'm having a ball trying it out. For those who'd like to read some more, try this link out: http://www.kenrockwell.com/index.htm

Leica lenses are the guaranteed best around - and so expensive because they throw most of them away in the quality control process.
I think they flog those off to Canon (Just kidding).

Of course all lenses are a compromise, so if your subject can sit still for 4 seconds, nothing beats the depth of field of this one.

Not quite my point...:running:

Anyways, that Leica is so ugly... Wouldn't want to go out in public with that thing. I'll take the new Canon 7D instead :)

:icon_lol:.....Why are you such a hater?

Even though I'm a Nikon owner, I still admire the Leica :engel016:

Well they are great cameras, maybe even among the very best. However, they are really ugly. Both nikon and canon have much better looking camera bodies. Not to mention more comfortable...

Throw a Leica in a 50D body and I'd take it anyday! In fact, I'd probably take it anyday anyways :p

Sell it, buy a new 100mm f/2.8 L IS macro and 100-400mm L IS from canon. Perhaps a new 7D kit with the new 15-85mm IS USM lens.

P.S. We should really get a photography subforum here at the Outhouse...
