The Hunters....Section 8 on-station

A'int bad at all. Hate to say anything negative about a fellow Sim, but CFS3 could never match those. :applause::applause::applause:

Far from convinced... Have you looked at some of Greg Law's aircraft with Bravo/4's skins and cockpit textures?

But they are beautiful, really!

All it needs now is a Flying Cheetah skin*... We can't give the Yanks credit for everything! :jump:

HOoo Man...

That has to be the best looking F-86 I have ever seen flying in CFS2! Beautiful job Bc on the transformation. :applause:

Hey BC
Looking v-good
Meant to ask you - how did you get all those Sabres lined up like that for the shot in your first post?

Gavin

AWESTRUCK! Even more than the victory Ohio State just gave Michigan!! 42-7 WOOT!

Anyway... I can't wait for the conversion! :jump:

Thanks Gavin....

For the tight, high right echelon formation, you first have to pick the aircraft you want to display. In this case i chose 5 skins in five different a/c folders. Using MDLC, you reduce the collision bubbles of all to '5' or '6' or they won't play nice with each other :icon_lol:. Then you create a test mission and pick your preselected lead ship as the player a/c and put five in the formation. You only need 2 waypoints - Turn (1st wypnt ) and Land Anywhere (2nd wypnt). Set altitude and speed the same for both waypoints. Save the mission, test flight or just exit MB.

Open the mis file in notepad and edit the units, formation.0 and unit_types as follows:

Cunning - I was about to accuse you of illicit photoshopping - I should have known better
Gavin

Looks like you might have fought a dog or two, or three.....:ernae:

I lost count! :costumes:

QC...solo player...ace enemies...respawning flights of 3 on 1...unlimited ammo. Those AI Migs fly like tricky AI Zero's below 320 kts...it helps to be quick on the speedbrakes :icon_lol:.

BC,
How do I change the size of the collision bubble using MDLC? Up until now I've only used MDLC to convert mdls and to add/ reduce shine.

cheers,
Mike

Hey fellas,

File uploaded...get some! :d

PS---Javis is woking on modifed droptanks for the conversion. I'll upload as soon as the package is ready. Meanwhile TR has permitted the use of his F4 Sabre tanks...thanks TR

Pic No 4 in your 4:24h post:
I have never seen a polished surface like this in CFS2 before.

Very nice looking!

Its actually a credit to the original painters Jax...the FS9-styled, photo real textures seem to fake a polish very well even in CFS2. These alpha textures compliment FS9's respect for reflectivity. Lacking model reflection in CFS2, all i did was shine the mdl up with MDLC and convert the originals from DXT3 alpha to DXT1 to kill the transparencies caused by the mdl's alpha. I was pleasantly surprised as well with the results.
