With those settings you're actually creating the blurries yourself.
Tone them down a bit and things will get a bit better. Just remember, as stated by others above, it's a 32 bit program so it cannot use all the resources that your rig has. By puting your settings like that, you're demanding more than the program can handle, this is not hardware related.
