"The Man From LOX" USN video....

Navy Chief

Senior Member
Ok, here's the story about this video. It was created as a safety training video for anyone who handled liquid oxygen. In fact, it was part of required training to watch it every few months. Anyway, the original release had some parts in it that (by today's PC standards) would be considered chauvinistic and profane. I think it was an attempt to make a boring safety film humorous; which it was! At one point, I remember the Navy edited the "offensive" parts from the video, and re-released it to the fleet. I don't know if they even have it in the inventory now.

Anyway, I found the original on Youtube, of all places, and thought I would share it with you folks.

WARNING: there is a graphic part at the end of the video of someone that is severely burned......

Apparently the RAF did a "remake" of their own (updated) version of "The Man From LOX". It is funny!
