• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

The McLaren-Renault, Toro Rosso-Honda deals:

[h=2]What to expect, and what to look out for, around the expected Toro Rosso-Honda, McLaren-Renault, Alonso and Sainz deals...[/h]
Same old same old Ed......'expected' might as well be just 'rumors'.
Be good if we could read 'facts'.

"The rumours are gathering apace: Porsche is to enter Formula 1 from 2021, after purchasing the Red Bull team and making engines fitting to the new formula set to be introduced that year."

Who makes these quantum 'news' leaps based on ifs, buts and maybes?
:banghead:

Well, when there is no news you can always create your own (fake) news....... and no matter what you write, people will read it as we are all "news-hungry".

A fact is that Red Bull isn't really happy with Renault and that MacLaren isn't happy with Honda. The rest is all maybe and based on what if.

My common sense tell me that Renault perhaps doesn't want to supply engines to two teams who have proven that they can build a better chassis than Renault currently does.
Maclaren has already been powered by Porsche before and Alain Prost has already left Renault before as he didn't think their car was competitive.

But I like the design in the pictures Panther posted :biggrin-new:

Cheers,
Huub
