The Mirage 2000 by Rollus is out!

In the first pages of this thread are instructions for starting the engines. About post #30 is the start of information which continues in more posts.

I've got some backtracking to do:mixedsmi:

That makes sense. And thats how I turn the burn on the F-16 It's surprisingly effective.

Thanks guy's
:ernae:

Hope this helps!....

Just click the switches marked in red in the order I've marked them and you'll be ready to fly without any problems, its really easy to get used to, I know its probably not accurate for the real one but you'll have no warning lights on the annuciator panel, and the rest of the systems are pretty much discussed here like the Mfd's and stuff. Make sure the engine has spooled past 22% then flick switch 8, and make sure switches 9, 10 & 11, are set to auto and that the gear lock (12) is off!
This startup is not done from a cold cockpit but straight after its been loaded. Good Luck!!!

Is there a gauge file that can be commented out on the "panel.cfg" like
there was with the MiG-21 so that Ctrl-E works?

Hum? might have to go troll the French forums to find out.
Or maybe MirageIII2009 knows?
:ernae:

Thanks. They do follow a nice right console then left console and rear to front sequence.

Hope this helps!....

Has to be one of the best packages out there, freeware or payware. If it weren't for SOH, I never would have known about her. What a great machine. Did a quick hop from Orange to Paris and had the GPS cued up. Set the A/P for a little bit, then decided to do some low-level stuff. When I climbed back up for the remainder of the flight, I put the aircraft level and on course, but completely forgot to turn the A/P back on. About 15 minutes later, I notice it, but the aircraft hadn't budged an inch, left, right, up, or down. Awesome bird! (Would be nice to get some Yago repaints for her though, hint hint) :jump:

I wouldn't count on it......Rollus has strictly forbidden repaints for distribution. See the 'read me' file.

Forbidden without authorization, or forbidden forbidden ?
From what I could read on the french forums, Roland just wants to prevent his Mirage 2000-5 to become anything else but a 2000-5.
That means he doesn't want to see this mirage with a repaint from a 2000-C for example.
But I'm not sure he would refuse to give the authorization for a photoreal version of the existing repaints.

You'll have to ask him.

He's kicked himself in the proverbials in my opinion so many great paints could have been done, personally I'm all for respecting his wishes but as its free I can't see the problem!
I mean sharing paints privately and not posting them on say flightsim or simviation ok, but sharing between us I can't see the problem as its free!

Glad to have been of an assistance Frank, I figured it out in about 45 mins from getting the original package, jets these days just make a lot of sense to me cockpit wise anyway, and as I said before, not to give my self a big head but If I can't start it, then I'm worth nothing lol!

Even if shared among friends there's always the chance one of those repaints will get "out there". Once a file leaves your HD there's not telling where it'll end up. Rollus is just trying to protect the integrity of his work as much as possible and I can see that and understand completely.

I agree he's severely limiting folks enjoying the Mirage in their own, unique way but that is his prerogative and I will respect that. I am forever grateful that he even released this plane as freeware.

Our community is very lucky to have him and his skills.

Is there an English translation for the Installation? I am unfamiliar with the file structure of Flight Sim in general (although I have them all from 2000 'till FSX)...For instance,I see everyone saying to copy paste files to whatever folder....So does this mean that the files and folders need to be in the mirage folder as well as their respective folder or would it be OK to Cut and paste them? I really don't monkey with this program much so how to install this is a mystery to me.English Installation instructions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried with Google Translate ? Sometimes it does a pretty good job with the French -> English translation.

So Basicly...unzip and put the whole thing into your Sim objects/aircraft folder...Anyway

WOW!!!! Beautiful aircraft.....love the Deltas! Thank you Rollus.

Just flying around....Do have a question or 2 for the Pros here....I want to map the Slat controls to my X-52 stick,at the moment I have to reduce the throttle to click them to the retracted position. What is the FSX command for this? My second question is: What's the safe speed to lower the landing gear?
