• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

The production version of the McLaren P1 is here, and boosts some impressive numbers!
The enigne's the same 3.8 liter V8 as in the MP4-12C, but upgraded to 737 hp, and a second electric engine is added, delivering 179 hp which makes a grand total of 916 bhp!
This hybrid can do 6 miles on pure electric power, but of course the extra power should be used like the 'KERS' button in a Formula 1 car. And speaking of F1, the rear wing can be lowered to reduce drag, like the DRS in F1.

0-100 kph in less than 3 seconds, 0-200KPH in less than 7, and 0-300 in less than 17 seconds. Top speed is limited to 350 kph.
The price? 866,000 GBP before taxes... Better hurry though as production will be limited to 375 pieces.

I think it looks stunning, with hints to their first production car, the F1.

And to bring the formula 1 fight to the streets, Ferrari will unveal a car with very similar specs soon too...

I guess the old stick on the floor is slowly becoming a thing of the past among exotics. Personally, I find it quite ugly, too many nooks and crooks.
