The old FS9 Mirage 2000N in Acceleration

Wow DFA, you caught Cuba on a CLEAR day. Ah yes, and the Delta painted nacelle.

I DL'd both the Mirage 2000N and the Mirage IV by Roland....oh, how sweet they are. I'm very surprised at the quality of the VC, as well as the rest.

Found a couple more. The northwest shore and the hooked western tip of Cuba. That tip is about the most definition I can come up with. Compare the tip with a map.

Bad part about that run was that there was a damn Hurricane that had just passed through into the Gulf and the tail of it made life a little ugly at FL350 considering the air is normally very smooth in that area at that level. Only time I have ever been socked in at that level with moderate to severe turbulence. The rough stuff lasted nearly 15 mins and when we punched out, there was ice crystals stuck all over every window. The only time I have ever experience that kind of turbulence at high alt prior to this flight was passing through the ITCZ on many flights. When it was active, it was very rough!!!

Roger that, know what you mean. I've been through the bands of a number of hurricanes down there. You'll never see any of my screenshots with weather in them...I'm a VFR flight simmer only.

I actually been to Cuba and found it great as long as you stay near where your staying and don't wonder off..had many a great drink there lol!

Thanks for the mod info peter12213. Always nice to see additional life for the Mirage.

For you Mirage fans the French Gmax ac Design (the Gmax Academy) will be releasing a series of Mirage 2000 starting in a day or so (if not today). There will be seven in all with various loadouts and the textures are by Jonathan Hilaire. The base model was started a few years ago by Pierre Marchadier. The VC and panel is based on the one by Roland Laborie (see images at the top of this thread) but is being modified for each version. Since the versions include C, B, D, N, 5F, 9, and E we may get a triple MFD panel. :applause:
:ernae:

More info (how's your French? :icon_lol:) and a video here: http://gmax-ac.fr/Pages/Actus/Mirage_2000.html

Fun video. There used to be a Mirage in the Alphasim shop, but it's not there anymore. Any idea were it went?

Frank, I take it that this is not the FSX native Mirage 2000-5 that Roland is working on?

The one in the link is what I am waiting for.

No, this series is completely different. This series is designed more for the
joy of flying and probably will not have the system depth that Roland's is
rumored to have. Plus it is for both FS9 and FSX and therefore not
"native" (if that is really that important for flying).

2009 continues to be a very good year for the Mirage.

Alphasim has had a few Mirage but that was back in the FS2/FS2000/FS2002 days.
They did have an Mirage IV for FS2004. They are all available here under "AlphaOldies"
or from my website. They never had a 2000.

dont matter to me that isnt native. These Mirages being released make me enjoy them more and more and provide ampl learning and give me a greater understanding of the French Mirage Aircraft.

Same here!! the aircraft that I configured for Accel flys great in my opinion and that was an fs9 model!
His mirage 4 works great too, the only dassult jet I really want is an Etendard IVP

I never thought much of the Mirage line of aircraft until this thread. After getting Roland's Mirage IV and the 2000 freeware, I'm thinking these are some pretty cool planes.

I have flown all kinds of aircraft in fsx and I always find dassalt jets to be great, the older the model like the old 60's mirage III the trickier they are to fly well!

Hi everybody,
Sorry for the OT, but Peter, would you be interested in this one?

I'm working on a "Etendard Family" project at the Gmax Academy.
The IVP version will follow the Etendard IVM FSX-Acc release, and then after a Super-Etendard...

End of the post-hijack :icon_lol:

Sylvain
