• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

But I'll have a stab at an I.Ae 31 Colibri.(rear cockpit doesn't look like any pics I have seen, but everything else fits including the tail livery !)

the IAe.31 Colibri it is. Reason for the different canopy is because the third example was completed with a transparent rear cockpit section and cut-down rear fuselage.:icon29:

There was a good site for Argentinian aircraft which seems to have disappeared.....

Anyway, this substantial machine is not Argentinian. Or even South American.

Texas wakes ! Waffles, eh ? Mussels and fries, more like, in Belgium.

SABCA S.47 it is. Extra :icon29: to wash down the mussels if you tell me what it was derived from (without looking it up !)

Not sure what it was derived from without digging around. Is a big beast though.

This one will last about 5 min...

Have seen this one as the Viceroy by McKissick or Price.
A 6-seat "biz-plane" modified from a Vultee BT-13. Must be nice if you have a big family. The aircraft was offered for sale around 2007, registration N62571, so may still be around

Ha ! Floaters are lefty country - this one is the Ellison Gweduck, which I think is indeed up-to-date - it has only just flown for the first time.

A resounding thud!

This is an early 1930's American effort, the Rankin EX-1. (Thought it had a European look to it).

How about another twin?

From an American one-off to a Brit ditto.

G-AEOG, the Hordern-Richmond Autoplane.

Not a resounding success - with two 40hp motors, hardly surprising !
