• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

That was my first reaction this morning to scan the 's' but without success. After a second try (reading you) this evening I focused on the SNCASO 3050. The only photo I have is from the back and don't show the wood armature behind the cockpit... but everything else looks quite similar

Looks like the SETCA Milan from France. Flown 1947, type certificate 1952, but no production.
Always wondered what SETCA stood for

if correct OH please

Yes the undercariage... I'm interested in the other site where they talk about it !

So a new mystery, white as snow, will he resist very long ?...

Long time since we had an Oriental specimen - the Kawasaki KAL-1

Pretty certain I'm right with this one so we'll keep it moving - here's an easy one with a clue.........

I don't know Lefty. I was hoping it was an early effort by the Pilatus works, but all I found was the Pelican.

Edit: Got it. P-4

Gliders are not allowed unless really unusual, but I guess we could have a go at this one for a change. Must be a Swiss Miss. :salute:

Yes, I think this geisha girl has displayed her charms in these parts before - the Tokyo Gasu Denki Koken monoplane....

By the way, I did make a half-hearted attempt at ID-ing the glider - no joy.

This too would have been banned a year ago in this forum - a light aircraft of fairly anonymous design. But we've broadened our horizons and have a couple of specialist in this field who will lap this up, probably.... It is Gipsy Major powered.

PS What WAS the ruddy glider ??????? with all the hints about watches, I reckon it was either an Omega III or a Longines Soarer......
