The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

Hi Lefty,
The KZ-8 (KZ-VIII) by Skandinavisk Aero Industri. One built in Denmark, one assembled in Germany (from SAI parts/components) and there was also a homebuilt example (often referred to as the KZ-VIIIR by Mr. Vad in Denmark, but with Lycoming O-360).

if correct OH please

Sorry, chaps, been having connection problems - back online now.

Naki took it so far but did not give us a name, so Walter gets the :icon29:.

As he has declared Open House, would you like to give us a mystery, Naki ????

Ah no problems ..knew it was Danish and had a "K' in the name but it was getting late and past my bed time to do some real research and then I got busy today.

Yes we do have a mystery thread over Wings Over New Zealand but we are not as good as you guys (and gals?) and it stops and starts bit .:salute:

Don't sell yourselves short Naki. Some good spotters in that thread. :ernae:

Slotting in a nice easy one then...

This is the Comper Mouse from 1933. Nice enough looking aircraft but not a success in a time when light aircraft were being churned out in surprising numbers in Britain.

Here is a machine from a wee bit earlier. I particularly like the somewhat animated conversation that seems to be going on in a rather overcrowded cockpit !

It looks like a caudron with a rather strange engine fitting. Something prior to the C59-C60, or a more basic version...

A fine Armagnac for our friend from the Périgord.

It is a Farman 71, F-AFHK, used as a workhorse and photographic aircraft, belonging to 'L'Avion Bleu'

I am surprised that the Aerocar didn't catch on - I love the lines of it, plus it must have offered a fantastic panoramic view. Onward and downward....

After looking into this one further, I can't say for sure if it ever flew. I have it as the Shavrov W3, but can't find any definitive information. I'm assuming this would also be labeled as the Sh-3 or She-3. Wiki states that the Sh-3 was 90% completed, so if it's the same as the W-3 then I concede defeat. Sorry, my bad. Here's one which did attain lofty heights.....
