I don't think I know your floater....however going back to the Guldentops Touring monoplane do you think there might be a connection with the following Guldentops St.Michel SG2 OO-GUE?
By the way on the belgian register I couldn't find r/n OO-CUI:

Well well -we'd better move on. The floater is the Viking from the Aktiebolaget Svenska Järnvägsverkstderna, as I'm sure you all knew.....

The dilemma - to go for the jugular and the hat-trick ? Well I'm not that sort of a chap, so we'll keep the horrors (got lots of new ones...) for later.

Sorry, no relationship with Rublic. I may have confused you. The company still exists, but is no longer active in
aircraft, AFAIK.
The company was in the past creator of (amongst others) jet trainers, attack aircraft and a light piston engine attack aircraft. These were mainly for domestic use, but also enjoyed some export succes.
The nice looking aircraft in the pic is the first plane built under the name of ....

I've had a feeling that it is one of the many postwar Ikarus designs, but can't track it down. How about 252 ??

Oh Oh - just found a post on another forum (from somebody called Walter ??) with a photo of the 252, so it ain't that ! Back to the drawing board............

We have landed in the correct country, Yugoslavia. The aircraft is the SOKO-1 (or Soko S-1) and was an aerobatic single-seater.
For those interested here is a link and then use Google Translate. Btw, the site has also info on many other (CIVIL) Yugoslav designs such as the Vajic V55, AAK Student, KB-6 and KB-11, UTVA`s etc.
