The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

Kevin has it - although it's a shame that he didn't offer me the chance to use my second clue about it being the product of an excessively hirsute manufacturer!

I would also have accepted Rohrbach Ro.VI as an answer - but that would just have been to demonstrate the pedant in me!

So it's over to the States .....

I'm normally not a fan of identifying "bits" from aeroplanes but the large wheel theme is kind of fun.

One from me. I think the diameter of this wheel is close to 8'! (Guessed at the height of the uniformed chap).

Going to be out of pocket on and off the next couple of days. Couple of hints for now, this large bomber appeared in 1913 with a very strange name...

Edit: Work began in 1913 but the project stalled in 1921 when the designer passed away. Also finding out that it was underpowered and never took off! Oops.

This is the Slesarev Svyatogor from Russia.

Open house please as I will be away.

Sorry I caused some confusion with 1939 (but that is what my source said).
Looking forward to your new post :very_drunk:

Thanks Wout (I don't deserve compliments as I'm a fan of carpatian aviation in general....)
Let me apologize for the delay and let me submit following delightfully old fashioned limousine:

Where on earth do you chaps find these things ? Nothing on the net whatsoever !
Hi Lefty!
If you look for a link concerning romanian aviation please see:https://aragornblog.wordpress.com/
The pics are terrible and it's written in romanian (My problem is that it doesn't translate into italian but since there's some kind of alikeness with italian I somehow manage to understand about 50% of the text...if I'm really desperate I ask my neighbour (lots of romanians in Arezzo and they do behave!).
Cheers
BG
