The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

PM sent to John last night, I'm sure he will be along to fix it soon. Maybe a photo hosting site glitch or some such.

On an unrelated note....I just purchased OKB Tupolev to complete my collection of the OKB series from Midland Publishing. Fantastic reading thus far. I was wondering if any of you knew whether they planned on doing one for Antonov, as it's the only one of the big six design bureaus not represented in the series. Would love to get my hands on that if its in the works, but not holding my breath.

Your tubby wee thing is the Aero A-18, John. (as you can see, I'm partial to tubby wee things........)

Speaking for myself, I don't have any of OKB series only because I have few others that seem to cover the Russian front fairly well.

Guessing your recent Ilyushin Il-18 came from one.:santahat:

You might keep an eye out here for any OKB releases:

Hello Lefty!
Thanks for posting two pics of the Dewoitine D337 ( I was totally unaware of the existance of this aircraft! )....Would it be possible to learn a bit more about it? Any links? or what about a PM?
Thanks!
BG

This is a perfect example of why I enjoy this hobby so much. Like BG, I wondered Bloch but the D.337 is new to me as well. With this group you learn something new all the time. :encouragement:

Well, I've tried to stop buying books, but couldn't resist this when it turned up on Ebay here. There are about 5 pages of detailed info on the D.337 (in French, naturellement) - if you want more, send me a PM.

We'll go with a floater this time.

I thought I had that book. So I was surprised you had a pix from it. My library in storage now don't know when I will get it back. Did you cover up any markings on the D.337?

Chris
