The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

Thank you, Robert. I found that one easy as I remember seeing it perform as part of the Great War Display Team when I lived in the UK.

Now here's a big biplane - or is it a tandem wing monoplane - well it's certainly an unusual beastie in many ways (and I bet that its hangar bill is enormous)!

Don't know if this flew or much about except Country. If it did fly pilot had to have bigger "Blank" than me. Hopefully you experts out there will have more on it than I.

Chris

They probably didn't Chris!

Something a bit newer.

I have it as the NVI Carley C.1 Baby of 1922. But having regard to how confused is the aeronautical nomenclature of this period (even allowing for the fact that this one is Dutch rather than French!), I think it highly probable that it also was known as Carley C.12. So over to you, Uli.

p.s. I've no idea what the car is - but hopefully not a Carleycar!
Hi Pomme-homme!
Should anyone be interested in the genesis of the Carley C12 please connect the following site /www.modelbouwforum.nl/threads/carley-c12-schaal-1-3.153366/ where you will find most interesting pics including the various engines fitted in the Aircraft (Indian Chief, Sergant, Anzani) including a pic of the elusive H-NACI.
The text is in dutch but a translator is provided. Anyone if you have any doubts I will be glad to oblige as I have a superficial knowledge of the Language…
Cheers
Carlo

The little blue autogyro was flown very recently, possibly earlier this year. East Coast USA but too new for Aerofiles.

This is another one of those projects marketed as a "Flying Car". The prototype is a redesign of a helicopter already in production.

Right! Figured Walter would have stepped in by now. :biggrin-new:

This is the heli flying car project from Chris Verta of Conway, South Carolina. The body is from Sport Copter out in Oregon. The wings detach so he can drive down the road.

Don't have a registration for it.

Open board then-

Hi Kevin:encouragement:
Walter did not know your blue copter/flying car. Just imagine how I feel this weekend.
But to shift attention to others, as a wise politician would do, do you know this one?

The designer`s name is also seen connected with another (not related and nothing to do with the designer of the subject plane) tandem two-seater which was designed by M, then factory built by S and V. :jump:

Hi Green:encouragement:
Bingo! But Morrisey has nothing to do with the depicted V-tailer, which, BTW, had a rather powerful engine for a sport 2-seater (285hp).

She is the JBS-3 Sky Streak by Beveridge Shinn and registered N111BS. First flight 1987, 285hp Continental Tiara 6-285-C2 engine.
Mixed steel stube (fuselage), wood (panelling and wings) construction.
S was for Shinn (2150) and V for Varga (Kachina).

OH please

And a fine holiday it was. Overcast with light rain most of the day and the temp never went above 85F!

I don't think this monoplane has appeared before...
